Proverbs 15:13

A glad heart makes a cheerful face; but an aching heart breaks the spirit.

This could possible be life in a nutshell. It is easy to have a cheerful face when life is going as you feel it should. Or simply going great. But it is not a simple task to show cheer when life is bearing down on you. Bearing down to a point that you feel that you are going to be crushed. What we as human beings fail to realize is that we have so much to be thankful for. It could be the simplicity of your life, having family near by or just being able to relax and enjoy a Saturday with no distractions. There are many things around us that we can thank God for, many things that can bring cheer to our lives. But then there is the other side of the coin. And this is the side that the enemy wants to use often. If the enemy can rob you of your joy, you better believe he is going to do it. But here is the great part(cheer), the enemy is a defeated foe. He has no power nor authority over you! In addition, we do have to realize when we are hurting and when our hearts are heavy. In those times, we must turn to the Lord and begin to address our hurts and heartaches with Him. Even though God already knows your hurts, He wants you to tell Him(this is where building an intimate relationship takes place). So in closing, remember this “The dark that is trying to or is consuming you will not last forever and the light that is coming is far greater and more powerful than the dark!” So I say to you, ” Lift your eyes in cheer today and praise our God in heaven.”

Encouragement

As we get close to the beginning of the weekend, I want to encourage all those who have family to take the time to sit with them. Take time out of your day and let them know who much you love them. Show them how much you love them by playing games or watching a movie together. And don’t just sit with them, engage them in conversation. Find out what is going on in their lives. Make it a point to show interest with what they are interested in. Show and exhibit the love of Jesus Christ.

I also want to encourage you to institute a family game night. Set aside one night per week for family fun. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy, but get the whole family together(confiscate all mobile devices). Encourage and show your family the importance of being a strong family unit. In addition, set aside some time for prayer. This is crucial! It may be awkward at first but it will become easier! I hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed weekend! Hebrews 4:15    For we don’t have a high priest who can’t be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin…

 

Just like us, Jesus was tried and tempted. Think back to when Jesus was coming off His 40 day fast in the wilderness. The devil came to Him to tempt Him. But why then? Why would the devil want to tempt Jesus as He was coming off a fast? That is what the devil does. He comes at you when you are weak, when you are in a minute of distress. But we do have the power to rebuke the devil and resist and flee from him. This is great news. Not only will we be tempted, just as Jesus did, but we have a way to resist, a way to stand against the devil. I encourage you today, to resist the devil and he must flee from you! I pray that this little message was encouraging and has brought you new understanding of who we are in Christ, that we are tempted just as Christ was, and we have the same authority and power to resist the temptation. Jeremiah 17:14

      Heal me, O the Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for you are my praise.

 

An example of faith. All we need to do as ask the Lord to heal us and we shall be healed. All we need to do is ask the Lord to save us and we shall be saved. Let the Lord be your praise today! Let the Lord be your great joy, peace and happiness. In Christ we shall find all that we need. But we must first believe and have faith. God bless!

Outreach

Well today officially begins my quest to reach as many people as possible for the Kingdom of God. I am very excited about this quest and I will be walking with God on this voyage. It brings me great joy to reach out to everyone. My passion is preaching, teaching and sharing the Word of God! I feel it is so important to get the message to everyone who will listen.
I will be over the next several weeks be uploading photos, videos, and audio files. In addition to that, I will be uploading blog post and sermon outlines/notes. I look forward to seeing comments and feedback from all that is posted. Thanks for taking the time to follow my site. God Bless!
